Out & About

Bexhill - Hidden Seaside Gem on the South Coast

Bexhill is that quintessential seaside town that time forgot. Nestled in the heart of “1066 Country” and in between the larger and busier towns of Hastings & Eastbourne yet within easy reach of both – Bexhill has maintained a very desirable, relaxing and safe environment for families of all ages and is the ideal springboard to our local towns and superb countryside. Subject to considerable recent investment our superb seafront is a delight to behold. If you are looking for a truly restful holiday you won’t be disappointed.

The De La Warr Pavilion

The De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill

Built in the 1920’s as a theatre and arts centre the De La Warr Pavilion sits proudly on the Bexhill seafront offering panoramic sea views from a timeless age. This unique art deco building provides excellent food and hosts numerous shows and exhibitions. In 2005, it was reopened to the public after an £8 million restoration and refurbishment project. It now claims to be the principal centre for contemporary art and architecture on the south coast.

Bexhill Shopping – “Quaint, Quirky & Unique”

If you’re looking for something different in your shopping Bexhill could well be the place for you. There are many Individual and privately owned businesses that make shopping in Bexhill a most interesting experience. Gifts, Cards, Antiques, Clothing, Revival, Specialist Mosaic, Pre-loved – books, music, clothing, furniture ... and they’re all just a short walk from the hotel.

But if large and commercial is what you are seeking then the new M&S store is joining the array of shops at Ravenside situated on the outskirts of Bexhill just 2 miles from the hotel.

Eating out/Restaurants

The variety of restaurants and cafes provides a diverse choice for everyone’s taste – Classic English, Italian, Indian, Nepalese, Chinese, Turkish, French, Belgian as well as an abundance of Cafés and Coffee Shops.
